Media: Would we better off if much media were shut down?

The BBC has apologized for an egregious error when they reported that IDF forces had entered a Gaza hospital and were “targeting” medical teams and Arabic speakers.

These are the professional journalists screaming about disinformation.

Watch the BBC apology here:

We Stand With Israel on X: “WATCH @bbcnews have just issued an on air apology (again) for their report last night that stated the ‘IDF are targeting medical teams and Arab speakers’ ….  https://t.co/GMQUUMfcHw” / X (twitter.com)

I’m so old, I remember when the media boasted of “layers and layers of fact checkers”.
