He was known for his ABC Sports coverage. I was never much into sports but I do remember his coverage – outstanding work including hosting the television coverage for a dozen Olympic Games. He had Emmy awards for both news and sports coverage – 13 Emmys. Incredible background and quality of workmanship. He basically was the founder of television sports coverage.
