Chicago, Milwaukee and Detroit had some of the worst air quality in the world Tuesday …. At one point on Tuesday, Chicago was at level 228, veering into the purple or “very unhealthy” zone, and nearby Milwaukee was at level 221, according to AirNow, a government site that measures air quality.

A couple of years ago, we had an AQI of 400 to 625, lasting for 9 days.

Outside of the local news, this was ignored.

Now Chicago (or recently NY) had low 100s and it’s national news. Ring me when you have truly bad air quality, eh?
