I was just reading about some women on social media who are earning US one half million to two million per year for sponsored spots on Instagram, TikTok, etc.
My wife suggests this might explain the shift in newsroom demographics. The bias towards women on social media might favor women reporters as well (55% of reporters are female, and 2 out of 3 recent journalism grads are female) as their social media presence might give them an edge. It is a thought, anyway.
