The George Washington University’s president publicly apologized Friday for a fall 2021 surveillance pilot program that tracked students’ and employees’ locations on campus without their consent.

Our “devices” are easily trackable.

This past week, I waited in a line to get some work done on my car. While waiting, I detected 3 Apple Airtags (likely on auto keys of other waiting cars), five 2.4 Ghz Wi-Fi access points, one 5 Ghz access point, and two dozen Bluetooth devices.

Since the line was near a roadway, and nearly every auto going by had one or more Bluetooth devices enabled, I quickly saw hundreds of Bluetooth devices in my scan.

As long as we carry electronic devices with us, we are now trackable at all times, and likely are being tracked at all times by one or more parties.
