Social media has degenerated from distribution of false information (which still occurs in abundance), to censoring speech that billionaires do not like, to Artificial Stupidity-based systems that incorrectly classify posts.

Contrary to Zuckerberg’s claims that AI will solve everything – this is not true now and will doubtfully ever be true.

In this case, citing a source causes Facebook to mis-classify your post as spam! The incentive then is to not cite sources! Which then lowers the quality of discourse on social media!

I enjoy social media for the exchange of knowledge and the acquaintances I have made.
