When we allow private organizations like Facebook, Google, and Twitter to police scientific discourse, we abdicate our commitment to free scientific inquiry.

Recently, Facebook censored links to a peer reviewed paper published in The Lancet journal.

Facebook has also censored references to eminent scientists who espoused perspectives different than those held by large organizations (e.g. CDC, WHO).

Youtube censored (deleted) a video of an official government public hearing with several scientists that disagreed with existing guidance.

George Orwell thought government would be the censor of speech and the controller of NewSpeak. He was wrong. We have turned over speech censorship to a handful of billionaires.
