Climate: COP30 seems to be suggesting a call for censorship…
but does not specifically call for censorship – instead, it labels other views and questioning as “disinformation, misinformation, denialism” – which is to use the technique of name-calling to turn off opposition.
“Truth” comes solely from government, academics, and environmental journalists. The implication is you should not be permitted to question banning all dogs and cats (meat consumption -> methane), that everyone must eat vegetarian (and suffer vitamin B-12 deficiency), that everyone but the elite should be restricted to “15 minute” travel zones, and air travel should be prohibited (except for the elite). (See this for a list of actual climate proposals from “experts”: Climate: What Experts Say We Must Do – Coldstreams)
Climate experts at COP30 are implying that statements pointing this out are “misinformation”. Unless what you say is 100% in support and agreement with the appointed experts, you are spreading misinformation (even if the information is true).
“Concerned by the growing impact of disinformation, misinformation, denialism,
deliberate attacks on environmental journalists, defenders, scientists, researchers and
other public voices and other tactics used to undermine the integrity of information on
climate change, which diminish public understanding, delay urgent action, and threaten
the global climate response and societal stability;”

Noting the hypocrisy of the Climate Crisis jet set crowd is disinformation and “denialism”. (See Part 1: Climate Hypocrites – Coldstreams and Part 2: Climate Hypocrites – Coldstreams)
They imply that tech companies should throttle climate information and “promote campaigns on climate change“.
Call on technology companies to assess whether and how platform architecture contributes to the undermining of climate information ecosystem integrity, providing researchers with access to data to ensure transparency and build an evidence base;
e. Promote campaigns on climate change and support initiatives that promote literacy and the public’s right to access reliable information on the matter.
WHO DEFINES RELIABLE?
The climate experts and activists do, thereby censoring everyone else.
As I have written repeatedly, stick to facts and logic – don’t engage in exaggeration and hyperbole (See Media lying about pavement temperature and pavement burns in Phoenix – Coldstreams). But that’s not what the climate change community does when they call upon us to ban all pet dogs and cats worldwide, or ban all air travel, or limit travel only to the elite. Those are actual proposals from climate “experts”.
Yet if we point this out, we are the deniers and spreader of misinformation.
